Toyota GR Yaris – More expensive than the Lexus RX 450h

Enthusiasts have sharpened, but in certain EU countries, due to duties, the price of GR Yaris exceeds the limit of 110,000 euros!

Eagerly awaited the beginning of the pre-sale of the new GR Yaris which simply captivates with the performance provided by the three-cylinder turbo engine with three hundred horses and the eight-speed automatic transmission. But even the biggest enthusiasts put their finger on the forehead. In France, for example, they will have to pay more than a hundred thousand euros for this ultra-rabid racer.

Namely because of the high taxes that depend on the amount of carbon dioxide in the exhaust gases, the prices set by Toyota for buyers are more than doubled. So if the Japanese ask for 46,300 euros including VAT for the GR Yaris with manual transmission, the state will graft even more. The version with an automatic transmission is 2,500 euros more expensive, but the taxes for it are 14,000 euros higher.

If the buyer opts for both of the only possible additional options, the final amount he will have to pay is exactly 112 thousand and 500 euros. But despite everything, Toyota hopes to sell 300 copies of its beast in France. For the time being, only a 1,000 euro advance is required from buyers, and deliveries will begin before the end of the year.
