Cupra – Born VZ

Cupra decided to show the nimble character of the electric Born

Subtly hinting at a new philosophy in the positioning of the models, its most powerful version is marked with the letters VZ behind which the Spanish word for fast hides. And there is no question that it is fast - this is made possible by the electric motor whose power has been increased to 326 horsepower and the torque to 575 newton-meters.

They will launch this youthful hatchback to hundred per hour in 5.7 seconds and up to a maximum of 200 kilometers per hour. The batteries of 79 kilowatt-hours will provide an autonomy of 570 kilometers, and the adjustable suspension will provide more adrenaline in driving. For that, the shock absorbers, stabilizers and spring characteristics have been changed, the steering is sharper, and the brakes have been strengthened. For better control of the electric drive, instantaneous adjustment of the regenerative force is possible.

Cupra Born VZ is almost indistinguishable from the standard versions on the outside, except for the markings and the unique 20-inch wheels with 215/45 tires for this model. The interior is ennobled with exclusive front seats with developed lateral support, and got a bigger screen on the multimedia system which can optionally be from the top production of Sennheiser with 10 speakers with 425 watts. It is expected to hit the market in the third quarter, and the price has not been announced.

It is known that the Born is the Spanish version of the ID.3 and that they are produced together at the Volkswagen plant in Zwickau. This automatically means that we should soon expect a sporty version of the German hatchback, which has been announced for a long time.
