DUCATI DIAVEL

Ducati Diavel – Bentley Batur

Ducati made a limited edition Diavel in homage to Bentley Batur

The prestigious Italian motorcycle manufacturer is part of the Volkswagen Group and this relationship has resulted in a number of motorcycles inspired by the models of its compatriot, also part of the Wolfsburg group, Lamborghini. Now Ducati went further, but stayed within the group, and presented a performance inspired by the Bentley Batur.

The basis is the Ducati Diavel V4 which will be limited to 550 units, including 60 examples of the exclusive Mulliner variant. This is the first collaboration between the two brands, and the model is a vision of performance, craftsmanship and exclusivity. For this occasion Bentley designers worked together with Centro Stile Ducati to develop a unique look for the motorcycle.

The special edition is painted in Scarab Green from the Bentley Mulliner color palette. That's not the only change. Two tone air intakes and triangular hoods similar to those found on the Batur have now been inserted. The rear of the motorcycle takes many styling cues from the rear of the Batur and features a tail typical of a single-seater, which can be replaced with a passenger seat.

The motorcycle's bodywork makes extensive use of carbon fiber on the fenders, side panels and tail. Other features include Bentley badging, black Alcantara seats and a modified exhaust. Production is limited to 500 units, but there will be an additional 50 examples known as the Ducati Diavel for Bentley Mulliner.

The latter are available exclusively to Bentley Mulliner customers and a wide range of personalization is possible. In particular, the Mulliner variants offer different colors for the seat, front brake calipers, carbon fiber parts and wheels.

Customers also have access to an exclusive color palette and can paint the motorcycle to match their car. Regardless of which performance is chosen, both variants are powered by a 1.2-liter V4 Granturismo that produces 170 hp. That's a far cry from the 740 horsepower of the Batur's twin-turbo W12 engine, but it allows acceleration to 100 km/h in less than three seconds.

Deliveries will begin next summer, with pricing starting at €65,000 and rising to €80,000 for the Mulliner variant. As befits such performances, they will be delivered in an exclusive personalized wooden box that comes with a motorcycle tarp and certificate of authenticity.
