Aston Martin – Valhalla this year on the streets

Aston Martin's hypercar will have 1,012 horses and cost 660,000 euros

After four years after the presentation of the first concept, rumors began to circulate that the name Valhalla translates to wind and fog, Aston Martin has announced that things are intensifying on this supercar.

The development is in charge of the Formula 1 department, which will invest all its knowledge and technologies in it. Slated for production starting next year, the Valhalla will have a hybrid powertrain with 1,012 horsepower delivered by a twin-turbo V8 unit and three electric motors.

Two of them are on the front axle providing all-wheel drive, which together with advanced aerodynamics and implemented solutions from Formula 1 cars makes it easier to tame them.

Although no prototypes are currently ready for testing, the British claim that 90 percent of the dynamic settings have already been completed with the help of computer simulations in which Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso also participated. It is planned to produce 999 cars whose price will start from 660 thousand euros.

Aston later parted ways with Red Bull, which was also initially involved with the Valkyrie, and is now using motorsport knowhow acquired from its own eponymous F1 team to turn the Valhalla concept into reality. The British company explains how the Aston Martin Performance Technologies (AMPT) division is helping with the dynamics, aerodynamics and materials of the Valhalla, using insight gained from the cars raced by F1 drivers Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll, whose father Lawrence is the executive chairman of Aston Martin.
