GENEVA 2024 – Intelligent Mobility by MG
The influx of Chinese vehicles this year in Geneva was enriched by another brand
MG, as part of the SAIC group, also hosted the novelties of its sister brand IM, which stands for Intelligent Mobility, at its stand in Geneva. It is a premium manufacturer created with the intention of researching and developing new technologies through it, not only in terms of electric drive. Their first L7 model debuted in 2022 and was unofficially the reason Audi agreed to cooperate with its parent company. The Geneva premiere was held by the L6 limousine which, like the others, is defined by a clear commitment to the use of advanced technologies and top drive units. The basic version has one electric motor with 340 horsepower, and the more powerful two with a total of 790 horses. It is noted that it has incredible performance and accelerates to 100 kilometers per hour in less than 3 seconds. The projected autonomy depends on the type of batteries – with lithium-ion it will be 600 with batteries with solid electrolyte 800 kilometers.
The IM models should become available in Europe during 2025, probably through the MG sales network.
